Our colleagues from Munich proved their team spirit even after work: On a Saturday in January, the winter sports enthusiasts from our Munich team set off on a private trip to the Alps. In glorious sunshine and perfect pistes, our team enjoyed the day skiing, snowboarding or hiking through the picturesque winter landscape. Of course, there was also a lunch and après-ski together. 𝗜𝗻𝗻𝗼𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗺𝗲𝗲𝘁𝘀 𝗘𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗿𝘁𝗶𝘀𝗲: 𝗔𝗦𝗔𝗣 𝗮𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗗𝗩𝗡 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗸𝘀𝗵𝗼𝗽 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱 Last week, our colleagues from the Software and Electrics/Electronics divisions attended the Driving Vision News Workshop in Munich - one of the most important industry gatherings for experts in research, development, and manufacturing. Aligned with the event’s theme, “Next Challenges: Sustainability | Development Speed Acceleration | Software”, we showcased our latest approaches to the virtual validation of exterior lighting functions - both at our booth and through a compelling presentation. In her talk, “How to Validate Exterior Lights in an Evolving Automotive Ecosystem”, Christina Riebl, Project Lead Software | Virtual Validation at ASAP Gruppe, introduced the concept behind TestSphere, our end-to-end validation framework, and explained how modern validation methods can make the development process more efficient and future-proof. 𝗗𝗿𝗮𝘄𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝘁𝘂𝘀 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗷𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝗮 𝗳𝗲𝘄 𝗰𝗹𝗶𝗰𝗸𝘀: PAK Automation Tool in Wiring Systems Development In wiring systems development, continuous adjustments are part of everyday work. To keep development times as short as possible, our team works in parallel on 2D and 3D models. This also means that changes, such as modified cable lengths in the 3D model, must be correctly transferred to the 2D model and the parts lists. A regular comparison of wire list and parts lists is therefore essential. In the past, this comparison was a laborious manual process. Now, with PAK, it happens automatically: the tool compares the wire list with the parts list, hides identical values, and highlights discrepancies in colour. "This allows us to quickly check whether changes have already been implemented," explains our colleague Tim from the wiring systems team. The biggest advantage of using PAK? Definitely the time savings! "PAK automates the comparison, so we can fully focus on analysis," says Tim. "Its user-friendly interface allows us to make comparisons quickly and easily. With just a few clicks, we can also generate interim evaluations between official drawing statuses." The implementation was carried out step by step with a software developer, and thanks to PAK’s intuitive interface, our team can make adjustments independently at any time. A few months ago, we entered our new ASAP brand identity into the race for the German Design Award 2025 - and were able to win over the international jury of experts in the ‘Excellent Communications Design - Corporate Identity’ category. The award covers our entire rebranding including the updated brand identity, new corporate design, employer branding campaign, our website and new corporate wear.
